Friends for several years, these local boys started playing together through appearances at the Leftbank Open Mic Jam, a regular Wednesday night fixture on the open mic scene (Leftbank Café, 128 Cheltenham Rd., Bristol, BS2).

Ian Perry having already graced many a Bristol music hall with his throaty vocals and foot stomping guitar rifts, incited the three to start working on new arrangements of his songs, as well as writing new tracks and exploring their soulful group sound through improvisation.

At The Water's Edge consists of Ian Perry (Guitar and vocals), Tom Ranby (Tenor and Soprano Sax) and Oliver Dennison (Cajon and Percussion).

Check out their podcast from recent appearances on the Dave Miles show, BCFM (See the Bristol Community Radio Website).

Soulful sounds, threaded with infectious grooves and beautiful melodies, lead by the gorgeous voice of Ian Perry.
