This weekend saw the opening of our new Thali Cafe at 1 Regents Street, Clifton along with a snazzy new Bollywood Cocktail Bar! Opened in true Bombay style with Bollywood Dancers Sonia and her partner, our mixologists Chops and Vijay spiced things up a treat with Summer Garden and Bristol Bling Bling house cocktails.

Set on three floors in a mezzanine type layout plus basement for underground late night cocktail supping, the new site is full of Thali character similar to Montpelier, Easton and Totterdown.  Shimmer discs over the front door ring Thali bells as do framed pictures of honorary gentlemen from the Raj days. 

The opening night saw local Band Moscow Drug club hurry straight from their earlier evening performance at Colston Hall to join the celebrations with their Berlin cabaret meets gypsy campfire get-up.  Fiddlehappy Americana from The Muttbunch on the Saturday night, and poetic tunesmith Blythe Pepino gracing the bar on our in-house piano on Sunday night, saw us settle into Clifton in true Thali style.
