Arts Trail at Thali

2009-06-16 10:44:00

This weekend sees Easton Artists open their doors and show us what they've been up as part of the Annual Easton Arts Trail.

The Thali Cafe in Easton will be shedding their walls of their usual quirky Indian portraits to make space for exhibitions from local artist Bethany Stephenson and her watercolour interpretations of the Bristol she knows and loves.

Plus contemporary sketches employing a range of materials from Anna Higgie, presenting her collection of cut up pop culture, walk-mans and mini skirts.

Fromage en Feu, Bristol's premier non-French French band. Lovers of fine cheese and purveyors of the most danceable gypsy and klezmer music, will be with us from 2.30pm on Saturday too.

So slap on yer beret, pop a paintbrush in your mouth and get Arty this Saturday, open from 10am and again on Sunday.

And don't forget Thalis are only a fiver on Sunday evenings with Live Music thrown in for free!  This Sunday sees Alphonse liven things up again with his much loved percussion and sounds from the balafon.

GOSSIP...
The Thali Cafe features in BBC 3 series Being Human, in which a ghost, vampire and werewolf share a house in Totterdown!
