Based in Ecuador, The Charlotte Miller Art Project is a nationally and internationally recognised project working with street children on valuable arts-based educational activities.

Monday night saw bidders raise in the realm of £2000 to help in the purchase of arts equipment for the project. Acclaimed photographers such as Mark Simmons, Deborah Baker, Steve Elloway and David Constantine hang pieces on the Thali walls that pushed buyers to lift their bids, the most fought after pieces leaving the building for just under the £200 mark.

With flamenco dancing pulling in the people and live music from South American band ‘Jarana’, sangria for the masses and a llama piñata thwacking for those who deserved one. Thali sofas on the road gave purchasers of ‘Art’ a perch to nestle in their glory as South American sounds spilled out on the street.

Well done to all involved in a great night for a good cause!
